"Always Under Construction"

We are a real "Yankee Doodle Dandy," born on the 4th of July (2005) when we first performed at the Whistle Stop Park bandstand dedication. We are a community band that performs throughout the year for Niwot and local events.

We include players of all levels, backgrounds, and ability.

We provide the music we use, with over 100 songs in our repertoire, including well-known Classic Rock & Roll, Big Band Music, Jazz, Polka Music, TV & Movie Themes, Christmas Music, and John Philip Sousa Marches.

We sometimes wear "uniforms" in the style of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

We typically practice 3 or 4 times on weeknights in the weeks prior to a performance.

We have added a "petting zoo" to certain performances, where children can try out instruments with assistance from band members.

The members of the band also sometimes do something for fun like join in a monthly meeting of the Rocky Mountain Chapter American Theatre Organ Society. This then leads to things like this:

watch-v=zcb-UoNfq1s (a YouTube video of the event.) [Not:e: lights and power were lost part-way through. You think somebody would have noticed.]
